OCAD University: Yellow Stairwell Mural Project

I was one of the selected artists commissioned to paint a mural for OCAD’s 150th anniversary. The yellow stairwell is a well known landmark on campus, where students communicate conflicting, contrasting and differing perspectives through tagging. My design aims to visualize queer futurity on campus- the figures are individual yet fill the spaces the other bodies have left open. Our differences and points of connection actively shape a kaleidoscopic community.
