Here, Together, Always
Pride Toronto and Stackt Market, 2025
In celebration of Pride Toronto 2025’s “All In” theme, this installation asserts the presence of queer and trans people in public space. Here, Together, Always, serves as a reminder that the LGBTQ+ community will continue to persevere and thrive within a society that aims to oppress our identities and bodies. The figures stand individually, yet placed in context of one another. For this project I issued a call for submissions from local, Toronto-based performers and creatives to be photographed, and then painted for the project. I was interested in including some of the people who make the queer and trans community vibrant and multidimensional. The installation aims to transform public space into a site of belonging, reminding us that Pride is more than a celebration, it is community in action.
